AToM – A Touch of Memory

Duration: January 2011 – 2013

Project Description:

The AToM project aims at developing an application to improve the quality of life of persons with dementia. In this project, the focus is on meal experience. An application is being developed that enables caregivers to better understand what persons with dementia prefer to eat and which elements are crucial for a positive meal experience for that particular person. The application uses both data registered by caregivers and sensor data from the environment. Through pattern recognition and registered preferences of individual persons with dementia, caregivers are provided with suggestions regarding everyday care releated to the meal.
