Games @ School (G@S)

The G@S project aims to research and develop an open platform for the creation and distribution of educational games. The education sector sees gaming, because of its systematic and self-motivating character, as a key future learning aid.

The G@S projects researches the establishment of a platform for the easy creation and free distribution of user-generated educational game content. To achieve this, the project aims to innovate in four main areas: authoring, adaptive content and feedback, understanding of the user and distribution.

An iMinds ICON project which pursues research towards an open platform for the development and distribution of educational games.

Games @ School (G@S) caters to the growing commercial and academic interest in using videogames for
educational purposes. The project researches the creation of a platform that allows the easy creation and distribution of educational games. This platform is intended for both schools and the home
market, while aspiring to gain international reach.

G@S has innovative goals in four areas: authoring, adaptive content and feedback, user knowledge and distribution.
