Out of Curiosity featuring on 2010LAB.tv
2010LAB.tv is an interactive web TV, blog and audio podcast for creative people in the Ruhr Metropolis and Europe. Our project ‘Out of Curiosity’, which resulted in 9 short films made by art student Joël Rabijns, will feature on this online platform. The teaser and a short introduction are already published. In the next weeks the other films will follow.
Also, together with this feature on 2010LAB.tv, Out of Curiosity has launched its own website. Go and take a look at www.outofcuriosity.be.
E-Culture Fair 2010: Catalogue online available
E‐CULTURE FAIR 2010 presented innovative projects in the cross-over fields of creative industry, research, education, art and design from Flanders, the Netherlands and North Rhine-Westphalia from 23 till 25 August in the brand new Centre for Art and Creativity ‘Dortmunder U’ . E‐Culture Fair 2010 stands for exhibited projects, information stands, live presentations and demonstrations, workshops and performances.

“Out of Curiosity”: trailer
As a warming-up for the presentation of Social Spaces’ project “Out of Curiosity” at the E-Culture Fair next week in Dortmund (Germany), Joël Rabijns made a trailer. This short movie shows how Joël made a roadtrip and visited the participating schools in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. To see the final outcome of the project you should definitely visit the E-Culture Fair, but in the meantime you can already get an idea of what we are presenting there by watching the trailer:

“Out of curiosity” at the E-Culture Fair 2010
On 23rd – 25th of August, the research group Social Spaces will be present at the E-Culture Fair 2010 in Dortmund (Germany). The fair is organized by BAM, the Flemish institute for visual, audiovisual and media art, “Virtueel Platform” and “Medienwerk NRW” and is part of RUHR 2010, the European Capital of Culture and ISEA 2010 (16th International Symposium on Electronic Arts). The E-Culture Fair revolves around (cross-disciplinary) projects on (media) technology, art, research and creative industry. Here, companies, schools, universities, research groups and artists from Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany will present their work. At a booth at the Fair, Social Spaces will present itself and several of the projects the group currently is involved in (closely collaborating with Z33 – house for contemporary art, the Province of Limburg and the Expertise centre for Digital Media).
